1695-02-21[Selectmen's Meeting February 21, 1695] At the same meeting of the Selectmen February the 21st, 1694/5, then received from Constable Joseph Herrick, two pounds and two shillings, which is in full for our town rate committed to him bearing date the 24 of August, 1694 and also for the overplus of his part of the country rate, dated April 9, 1694, and for all country rates committed to him and he, the said Herrick, is hereby discharged of said rates. Said £2:02:00 being delivered to Lieut. Andrew Elliott he then being one of the Selectmen.
