1695-02-11[Selectmen's Meeting February 11, 1695] February the 11th, 1694/5. At a meeting of the Selectmen then received of Robert Briscoe who was Constable for the year 1690, the sum of twenty shillings in money, which is in full satisfaction for all rates committed to him the said Robert Briscoe during the time of his Constableship. At a meeting of the Selectmen on the 11th day of February, 1694/5, was a town rate made amounting in the whole sum to £26: 17:08, the one moiety [half] thereof to be paid in money, the other moiety [half] thereof to be paid in current pay, according to record dated January the 25th, 1694/5, the said rate committed to Constable Joseph Herrick for to be collected and paid into the Selectmen for their order, for the use of the town. At the same meeting of the Selectmen on the 11th of February 1694/5, was a town rate made amounting in the whole sum to £27:18:00 and committed to Constable Samuel Stone, to be collected and paid into the selectmen or there order for the use of the town, one moiety [half] thereof to be paid in money, the other moiety [half] to be paid in current pay, according to the record dated January the 25th, 1694.
