1695-01-24[Selectmen's Meeting January 24, 1695] At a meeting of the Selectmen on 24 January, 1694/5, was a rate made for the payment of Mr. Hale, for one third part of his salary for the year begun 1S of November 1694, and committed to Constable Stone for the collecting & paying, the same being £13:02:04, that is to say ten pounds, thirteen shillings & four pence to Mr. Hale, and the remainder being £02:09, he is to pay the selectmen for the use of the town, said rate to be paid by the last day of February next ensuing. January the 24th, 1694/5. At a meeting of the Selectmen was a rate made for the payment of Mr. Hale, for the one third part of his salary, for the year begun the first day of November 1694, and committed to Constable Joseph Herrick for the collecting and paying as following, viz.: to Mr. Hale £10:13:04, and then the remains being £02:11:04, he is to pay into the Selectmen for the use of the town, the whole being £13:04:08, said rate to be paid by the last day of February next ensuing.
