1694-03-05[Town Meeting March 5, 16941
At a general town meeting of the inhabitants of Beverly, legally warned and assembled on the 5th day of
March, 1693/4, it was voted and agreed to by said inhabitants, that there shall be a rate of thirty two
pounds & six shillings made by the present Selectmen, said rate to be paid to Mr. Hale within one year
after the date above said, the which rate is to make payment to the said Mr. Hale, for what he hath
dispersed according to his accounts, towards the finishing of the house he now lives in, three pounds of
said rate he paid in money.
