1690-12-25[Town Meeting December 25, 1690] At a general town meeting on the 25th day of December, 1690; there were chosen a committee, Lieut. William Dodge, Thomas Woodburie [i. e. Woodbury] senr., & Nehemiah Grover, to review a parcel or parcels of our town common swampland, & to make sale of said land unto James Taylor and John Clarke, who did petition said town at said meeting to buy said parcels of land, the said parcels of land the one of them lying in the corner of the swamp, commonly called Cat Swamp, and the other near said Clarke's house.
