At a meeting of the selectmen on the second day of February 1692, at the house of Deacon John Hill,
there were chosen for surveyors of our general & particular fences in our town of Beverly, for one whole
year from the date hereof, Mr. Thomas Woodburie [i. e. Woodbury] senr. & Mr. William Woodburie [i. e.
Woodbury] senr. & Hazediah Smith & William Elliott.
