COMMISSION MEMBERS:
Daniel Murphy — Chair - person, George Johnson, Al Torsey, Eric Overberg, Don
Berman, Alex Ushakoff, Muriel Zaginailoff, Alternate - Neil Overberg.
• COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT:
Daniel Murphy — Chair - person, , Eric Overberg, Don Berman, Al Torsey, Muriel
Zaginailoff , and George Johnson.
• PUBLIC PRESENT: Diane and Ron Costa.
• A quorum being present the meeting was called to order at 7:14 P.M by chair - person
Daniel Murphy.
• OLD BUSINESS:
• Communications and correspondence: NONE.
• Operation alert: Ongoing: A single point of contact has to be appointed by the Mayor.
• December meeting minutes: A motion was made and seconded to accept the
December 24, 2012 meeting minutes as written. There was no November meeting.
• Membership: New member in waiting, Diane Costa, was present. Her membership
is awaiting approval by the city clerk.
• NEW BUSINESS:
• The 3 CAC Organizational documents; The previously approved Mission Statement
and the CAC Responsibilities Statement (December meeting) ;and the Organization
Statement; were reviewed, discussed and approved by a unanimous vote of those
members present.
• Election of officers:
Chair - person: George Johnson was nominated, by Don Berman and seconded by
Eric Overberg. All present voted in favor.
Vice chair - person: Muriel Zaginailoff was nominated by Don Berman and
seconded by Al Torsey. All present voted in favor.
Secretary: Eric Overberg nominated by George Johnson and seconded by Al
Torsey. All present voted in favor.
A round table discussion was held with each member giving their perception as to the
CAC going forward. George stated the CAC should be an advocate for the consumer and
public access to Comcast ... all agreed.. George presented a gift to Dan as a token of
appreciation for his years of service to the CAC.
• OPEN ISSUES:
• Search for additional commission members.
• Operation alert.
• I -Net build out. Ongoing.
The next CAC meeting will be held at the Beverly Public Library, third floor conference room
On Thursday February 21, 2013 at 7:00 P.M.
At 8:27 P.M. a motion was made by Eric Overberg and seconded by Al Torsey to adjourn.
