Kevin O'Reilly presided.
Anthony Kline made the motion, seconded by John Kelley, to accept the minutes of the regular
meeting of November 22, 2011 as read. Motion passed.

Personnel: No report.
Administration: No report.
Finance: No report.
Report of the Library Director
1) Staffing: Close to filling junior custodian position and plan to have someone in place by the
first of the year. Part time substitute librarian has found a full time position at another library so
position will be advertised on the Simmons job line. 2) Bookmobile: Patricia Cirone reported
that she spoke to Moroney Brothers and that Freightliner has delivered the chassis to Utilmaster;
everything should still be on track for a delivery to the library in March. 3) Flooding Bills: Still
have not heard back from John Dunn or the Mayor regarding the flooding bills and plan to make
an appointment to discuss this with John Dunn and /or Mayor at City Hall. Patricia Cirone
reported that she contacted Wes Slate about the flooding situation and about meeting with the
board. 4) Surveillance Camera Policy: Patricia Cirone forwarded draft of the library's
surveillance policy to Chief Ray, who forwarded it to Sgt. Richardson for review. Still waiting
for response from them. 5) Budget: Current budget is in good shape, despite running a bit over
on the part-time line item due to some extra hours needed to cover scheduling gaps. 6)
Upcoming Programs: Monday Mornings Program resumes February 6.

The next regular meeting of the board will be Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Main
Library.
