Opening Remarks
Mr. Lowd welcomed all to the December meeting.
Finance Report
Mr. Lawler stated that there we no bills paid in November; therefore the
report remains the same as October.
The Dunn Report
Mr. Dunn indicated that there wasn't much activity to report on. He did
indicate that there was a dispute regarding who stamps the plan. Mr. Collins
can stamp the plans for the foundation but will review the remaining
building plans in detail before considering stamping them. Mr. Dunn
assured the Commission that they are on track to resolve this but it will
delay the completion of the building.
The Carter Report
Mr. Carter stated that rounds were better than last December. He did
research a net by the wedding cake; two 50' poles with 100' of netting. The
poles would have to be drilled into ledge 7' to 8' deep to secure them;
costing a significant amount of money. The Commission will address the
issue further in the spring; possibly placing a spotter there for a weekend to
see where the majority of the balls fly.
The McHugh Report
The pump house experienced a major computer failure in September. Mr.
Collins recommended a company to assess the problem; bottom line a new
operating system for the pumps. The irrigation system cannot be run
without it. One of the inverters has blown; to replace one inverter is 90% of
the cost to replace the whole system. This new system will install separate
inverters for each pump making it fail safe. Mr. McHugh will get other
estimates for next meeting.
Mr. Lawler motioned to approve expenditures to fix /replace pump inverter
system not to exceed $13,450; seconded by Mr. Lambert. Motion carried 6-
0.
The Dion Report
Mr. Dion reported all is good.
The Pate Report
Mr. Page distributed his monthly report indicating the weather an economy
were factors. He will still strive to generate more business for the grill room
and functions. He did indicate that they would definitely benefit with a
handicap lift.
Mr. Lowd indicated that the tennis program and courts are all wrapped up
for the winter.
BGT Course Improvement Video
Mr. Lowd displayed a video of all the course improvements throughout the
year narrated by Mr. Carter.
Meeting adjourned at 8 p.m.
