2011-10BEVERLY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2011 LOCATION. Beverly Airport Administration/Maintenance Building, 46 L. P. Henderson Road, Beverly, MA, 01915 PRESENT: Commissioners Barnico, DiPaolo, Faulstich, Forgione, Mahoney, Nelson, Vitale, and White ABSENT: Commissioner Dettorre PUBLIC: Dave Graham, Kendylle Robinson, Richard Chase, Charlene Chase, Wes Rosen, Jim and Diane Baker, and Alan Battistelli A. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Vitale called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. 1. Pledge of Allegiance 2. Reading of the Minutes for September 2011 —Chairman Vitale called for a reading of the minutes from the September meeting. Vice Chairman Mahoney made a motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Commissioner Barnico. Motion passed unanimously. 3. Reading of the Financial Report — Commissioner White presented the financial report for September 2011. Vice Chairman Mahoney made a motion to accept the report, subject to audit. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Barnico. Motion passed unanimously. 4. Presentation(s) — • Dave Graham of Jacobs Engineering updated the commission on the completion of the TXY `B" Crack Repair Project. He also gave an update on the airport's 5 -Year C. I. P. plan. 5. Chairman's Report — Chairman Vitale talked about... • The proposed Dave Ellrich hangar lease. Vice Chairman Mahoney made a motion to accept the proposed lease, seconded by Commissioner White. OLD BUSINESS: 1) Subcommittee Reports • Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee — Vice Chairman Mahoney reported on the status of the sale of the Cicoria Tree Service parcel. • Noise Abatement Subcommittee — No noise complaints reported for the month of September 2011. • Facility Maintenance and Website Management Subcommittee — There were 2,257 hits in September (twice the normal amount). The new RW16 RNAV approach plate was added. • Public Relations Subcommittee — No Report • Environmental Issues Subcommittee (& NSCC Aviation Science Program Update) — Commissioner Barnico reported that there was going to be a meeting on the proposed new Watershed Ordinance on October 27, 2011 from 6:3 OPM -8 :3 OPM at City Hall. • Airport Safety & Security Subcommittee — No Report C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT: Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft traffic count, monthly landing fee collections, completion of the TXY `B" Crack Repair Project, Mercedes - Benz vehicle testing by Autoliv, wildlife management, the success of the Wings & Wheels event, Aero Manufacturing addition, gas line installation to H #49, submittal of completed RNAV (GPS) questionnaire to FAA, Ellrich hangar update, and annual MassDOT /Aeronautics inspection. D. NEW BUSINESS: None E. TENANT COMMENTS: • Kendylle Robinson informed the commission of a FAA Safety Seminar to be held at West Side, NAA, Hangar #9 on November 9, 2011.
