Kevin O'Reilly presided.
Anthony Kline made the motion, seconded by John Kelley, to:
move to go into executive session for the purpose of approving the executive
session minutes of April 26, 2011 and March 22, 2011.

Executive session concluded and library trustees returned to regular meeting at 7:25 PM.
Joanne Panunzio made the motion, seconded by Neil Olson, to accept the minutes of March 22,
2011 as read. Motion passed.
Neil Olson made the motion, seconded by Joanne Panunzio, to accept the minutes of April 26,
2011 as read. Motion passed.

Committee Reports
Personnel: 1) John Kelley reported on library director's evaluation. 2) John Kelley reported that
trustees are waiting on employment contracts until budget is finalized.
Administration: No report.
Finance: No report.
Long Range Planning: No report.
Report of the Library Director
1) Budget: FY2011 budget is in good shape. Patricia Cirone met with the Mayor to discuss
FY2012 budget. The Mayor will present a level funded budget for the library to the City Council.
Because of the 53 -week pay cycle there will be an increase in the salary line items. 2) Long
Range Planning Survey: Data input is almost complete. 3) Security Cameras: Security cameras
have been installed but there is no outside access to them as originally proposed. Patricia Cirone,
David Gelineau and Russ Fisk will be meeting with the security company to resolve this issue. 4)
Circulation: Patricia Cirone reviewed FY2011 circulation and attendance figures. 5) Self -
checkout: Patricia Cirone reviewed self - checkout and self - checkin systems. Self- checkout
systems cost approximately $20,000. 6) Bookmobile: The library will be getting a new
bookmobile. 7) Summer Reading: The library is gearing up for summer reading. 8) Head of
Children's Department: Interviews for head of the children's department start June 6.
