March 9, 2010 Meeting Minutes
Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.

Opening remarks by Mr. Lowd
Mr. Lowd expressed his thanks to the Commission members for their extra time
and effort in reviewing the RFP candidates and stated that Mr. Dunn will update
them this evening.
Minutes of February
Mr. Crandall motioned to approve the minutes, seconded by Mr. Klein. Motion
carried 5 -0.
Finance Report
Mr. Lawler could not attend this evenings meeting and Mr. Lowd indicated that
the Finance Report for February will be discussed at the April meeting.
RFP Update
Mr. Dunn complimented the Commission on a job well done regarding interviews,
reference checks and all work involved with the preliminary process of RFP
process. Mr. Dunn also indicated that the Commission only reviewed the
qualifications and did reference checks. The Commission did not review the
bids; that decision is up the the Mayor. The Commission also had a list of
complex questions for the bidders.
Mr. Dunn assured the Commission and the public present that there will be a
decision made this week. The City has the right to reject all submitted bids and
run the course themselves. He is also optimistic that the City Council will follow
through with the Mayor's decision.
Mr. Dunn also indicated that applicants can act quickly and start to take over the
operation of the course in 7 to 14 days.
Site Projects
Mr. Dunn indicated that the old maintenance building has been demolished.
Alliance Environmental is overseeing the process. The other building's
foundation may be poured within the next two weeks.
Meyer Tree Service is coming in to review trees to be removed; greens covers
will stay on for now. Mr. Dunn also stated that 19 Hole may open next
weekend, it will be operated by Bass River for now.
The Pro Shop will be moving along also. There is a small office trailor ordered to
operate out of for the approximate 2 months for renovations.
Public
The public asked a few questions regarding the RFP process and Mr. Dunn
clarified their concerns.
Mr. Klein Resigns
Mr. Klein submitted a Letter of Resignation to the Commission.
Comments to Management Proposal
Mr. Crandall suggested key points that should be considered inserted to the
Management Agreement: Inspection of Golf Course, Monthly Reporting, Sub-
contracting and Annual review of obligations required by the City. The itemized
list was distributed to the Commission members.
Mr. Barger motioned to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Crandall. Motion carried 5 -0.
