MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY, JANUARY 10, 2011

PRESENT: Commissioners Dettorre, Forgione, Mahoney, McEvoy, Vitale, and White
ABSENT: Commissioners Barnico, DiPaolo, and Nelson
PUBLIC: Dave Graham, Craig Schuster, Kendylle Wessell, Richard Chase, Charlene Chase,
Tony Bettencourt, and Joe Gibbons
A. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Vitale called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
1. Pledge of Allegiance
2. Reading of the Minutes for December 2010 —Chairman Vitale called for a reading
of the minutes from the December meeting. Vice Chairman Mahoney made a
motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Commissioner Forgione. Motion
passed unanimously.
3. Reading of the Financial Report — Commissioner White presented the financial
report for December 2010. Vice Chairman Mahoney made a motion to accept the
report, subject to audit. Motion was seconded by Commissioner McEvoy and
passed unanimously.
4. Presentation(s) — Craig Schuster of Jacobs Engineering reported that meetings
should be set up to discuss the Taxiway `B" Crack Repair project and the Airspace
Review Pre - Design project.
5. Chairman's Report — Chairman Vitale talked about...
• The death of Al Marcos
• Informational plaques that will be made by Ace Chase and placed by the
Russian MIG and helicopter display
• Waiting until Commissioner Barnico recovers from heart surgery before
holding an informational meeting with restaurant operator Linda McCarthy
• Starting the Taxiway "Bravo" Crack Repair Project in June 2011

• Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee — No Report
• Noise Abatement Subcommittee — No Report
• Facility Maintenance and Website Management Subcommittee — Commissioner
Forgione reported that the airport website received 739 hits in December and
as of January 9, 2011 the website received 363 hits.
• Public Relations Subcommittee — No Report
• Environmental Issues Subcommittee (& NSCC Aviation Science Program
Update) — No Report
• Airport Safety & Security Subcommittee — Commissioner Dettorre reported
that discussions regarding the next disaster drill to be held at BVY would have
to wait until spring. Beverly Fire Chief Cotter is currently recuperating from a
blood clot in his knee.
C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT:
Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft traffic count, monthly landing fee
collections, segmented circle windsock, third -party underground diesel tank inspection,
leeching field parcel release status, snow removal, FAA retirements, and airport maintenance.
D. NEW BUSINESS:
The commission entered into Executive Session to discuss strategy with respect to
potential litigation.
E. TENANT COMMENTS:
• Ace Chase reported no deer sightings and no sign of deer tracks.
• Joe Gibbons reported that the next North Shore Aero Club meeting would be held on
January 19, 2011 at 7PM at Something Different Restaurant.
