MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2010
LOCATION. Beverly Airport Administration/Maintenance Building, 46 L. P. Henderson Road,
Beverly, MA, 01915
PRESENT: Commissioners Forgione, Mahoney, Nelson, Vitale, and White
ABSENT: Commissioner Barnico, Dettorre, DiPaolo, McEvoy
PUBLIC: Dave Graham, Jim Baker, Richard Chase, and Tony Bettencourt
A. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Vitale called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
1. Pledge of Allegiance
2. Reading of the Minutes for October 2010 —Chairman Vitale called for a reading of
the minutes from the October meeting. Commissioner Nelson made a motion to
accept the minutes, seconded by Commissioner Forgione. Motion passed
unanimously.
3. Reading of the Financial Report — Commissioner White presented the financial
report for October 2010. Vice Chairman Mahoney made a motion to accept the
report, subject to audit. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Forgione and
passed unanimously.
4. Presentation(s) —
• Jacobs Engineering — Dave Graham updated the commission on the email he
sent to Burlington International Airport in Vermont regarding PAPI's. He also
told them of the reported "clear shot" from Lawrence Airport to BVY now
that the Hutchins tree(s) were topped.
5. Chairman's Report — Chairman Vitale reported that....
• The Doozers lease will be up in July 2013 and needs to be addressed
• The income from the nine (9) acres of the proposed skating rink parcels will
boost airport income
B. OLD BUSINESS:

• Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee — Vice Chairman Mahoney updated the
BAC about a meeting held with the Mayor regarding the Airport's 5 -Year CIP
projects.
Noise Abatement Subcommittee — Vice Chairman Mahoney said he wanted to
talk with Kendylle Wessell and some helicopter pilots operating from the West
Side ramp.
Facility Maintenance and Website Management Subcommittee — Commissioner
Forgione reported that the airport website received 967 hits in October 2010.
He also reported that he would be working with Network Innovations on some
airport website work. Also, Chairman Vitale will contact Commissioner
McEvoy regarding airport advertising sign info to go on the airport website.
• Public Relations Subcommittee — No Report
Environmental Issues Subcommittee (& NSCC Aviation Science Program
Update) — No Report
• Airport Safety & Security Subcommittee — No Report
C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT:
Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft traffic count, monthly landing fee
collections, cutting of the Hutchins' tree obstructions, wildlife management, BevCam
interview, MassDOT Crack Sealing Program, airport winter preparation, line -of -sight brush
removal along TXY `B ", FAA's Laverne Reid retirement, and airport maintenance.
D. NEW BUSINESS: None
E. TENANT COMMENTS:
• Ace Chase has offered to help Dave Meuse with security fence repairs.
F. COMMISSION COMMENTS:
The BAC will read the consultant RFQ's and will get back to Vice Chairman Mahoney.
G. ADJOURNMENT:
Motion to adjourn made by Commissioner Nelson, seconded by Commissioner Forgione.
