MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2010

PRESENT:
Commissioners Dettorre, DiPaolo, Forgione, Mahoney, McEvoy, Nelson, Vitale,
and White
ABSENT:

Dave Graham, Craig Schuster, Richard Chase, Charlene Chase, Chris Negrotti,

A. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Vitale called the meeting to order at 7: 00 PM.
1. Pledge of Allegiance
2. Reading of the Minutes for September 2010 - Chairman Vitale called for a reading
of the minutes from the September meeting. Commissioner Forgione made a
motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Vice Chairman Mahoney. Motion
passed unanimously.
3. Reading of the Financial Report - Commissioner White presented the financial
report for September 2010. Vice Chairman Mahoney made a motion to accept the
report, subject to audit. Motion was seconded by Commissioner McEvoy and
passed unanimously.
4. Presentation(s)-
. Jacobs Engineering - Dave Graham reported on the recent C.I.P. meeting and
on the prospect of getting P API's from the Burlington, Vermont airport. Craig
Schuster reported that the ALPU is still being finalized; they are responding to
comments made by FAA.
5. Chairman's Report - Chairman Vitale reported that....
. The tree obstruction on the Hutchins property should be removed within the
next 30 days
. He and Airport Manager Mezzetti would be doing an interview on BevCam
regarding the airport on October 27,2010
. The attendance at the Collings Foundation Wings of Freedom Tour in
September was down 25%-30% from last year

. The NTSB's preliminary accident report on the fatality (of Michael Costales)
at BVY is available on the NTSB web site
. The December BAC meeting and Pot Luck dinner would be held on December
13,2010 at Cat Aviation (West Side)
B. OLD BUSINESS:
1) Subcommittee Reports:
. Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee - Vice Chairman Mahoney updated the
BAC on the Cicoria Tree Service proposed parcel and the issue with the access
road width. Vice Chairman Mahoney also recommended going out for RFP on
the former proposed Rice Rental parcel ASAP.
. Noise Abatement Subcommittee - Vice Chairman Mahoney reported no
September 2010 noise complaints.
. Facility Maintenance and Web site Management Subcommittee - Commissioner
Forgione reported that the airport web site received 2,197 hits in September
2010. He also reported that the airport is now on Facebook; to enter, one must
become a member and then search for the BVY airport.
. Public Relations Subcommittee - Commissioners McEvoy and DiPaolo passed
out information regarding business advertisement signs at the airport.
. Environmental Issues Subcommittee (& NSCC Aviation Science Program
Update) - No Report
. Airport Safety & Security Subcommittee - Commissioner Dettorre will contact
the Fire and Police chiefs of Beverly, Danvers, and Wenham regarding the
proposed airport disaster drill.
C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT:
Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft traffic count, monthly landing fee
collections, Hutchins' Eminent Domain Easement and Tree Taking, state traffic counts, CG
Leasing Inc. lease assignment, MassDOT Aviation Division ID badging problems, 5- Year
Airport C.I.P., airport wildlife depredation permits, MassDOT Aviation Division airport crack
filling and pavement marking program, and airport maintenance.

. Commissioner Dettorre asked for clarification regarding aircraft approaches in the new 5-
Year C.I.P.
