Beverly CATV Advisory Commission Meeting

Daniel Murphy - Chairman, George Johnson, Al Torsey, Eric Overberg, Kim Allyn, Neil
Overberg -Alternate.
COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT:
Daniel Murphy - Chairman, Eric Overberg, and Kim Allyn, Al Torsey
PUBLIC:
o Donald Berman, Walter Kosmowski, (BEVCAM).
A quorum being present the meeting was called to order at 7:03 P.M.
o Communications and correspondence:
An e-mail was sent to William Hewig regarding our progress. He responded that we are
on schedule.
o Old business:
o The April minutes were, voted on, and accepted.
o Operation alert: BevCam reported that it is on their agenda to contact concerned
parties; Police, fire, public works, FEMA, etc.
o Daniel Murphy presented the final copy of the public survey... it was discussed, edited,
and accepted. Distribution methods were discussed. Daniel Murphy is set to meet with
the Kiwanis on May 20. The electronic survey via BevCam was discussed. Walter
Kosmowski will look into
o BevCam Business plan: BevCam is waiting review by its board and an equipment list.
There was discussion of the plan. Daniel Murphy suggested plan should be complete by
August 1 st prior to the public hearing. Donald Berman cannot commit to the date.
o Eric Overberg and George Johnson's April 14th meeting with Mike Collins, Dir DPW,
was discussed. Eric related Mikes issues and gave Mike a copy of section 5.3 of the
existing contract for his perusal. All agreed that future meeting will be held.
o New business:
o Walter Kosmowski presented the March BevCam report re: staff, production
schedule, project outreach, technical issues and financials.
o Daniel Murphy will contact Mike Cahill to set up a meeting with the city council.
· Open issues
o Questionnaire to Beverly department heads.
o BevCam budget and strategic plan.
o Public hearing
o Public survey
o Search for new commission members
o Waiting response from Mike Collins.
o City council briefing on survey.
o RFP's for other vendors should be published in June.
The next meeting is Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at BevCam.
At 8:32 P.M. the meeting was adjourned.
