Joanne Panunzio presided.
Anthony Kline made the motion, seconded by Mary Behrle, to accept the minutes of November
24,2009 as read. Motion passed.

Committee Reports
Personnel: John Kelley reported that John Kelley and Joanne Panunzio met with the city
solicitor, Patricia Cirone, and Anna Langstaff to discuss salaries and other issues for director's
and assistant director's contracts.
Administration: Kevin O'Reilly reported that he is investigating the feasibility of installing solar
collectors on the library roof.
Finance: No report.
Long Range Planning: No report.
Report of the Library Director
1). Contract: Patricia Cirone forwarded to the city solicitor a copy of the MGL regarding
contracts for library director and assistant director. 2) Montserrat College of Art: The city has
received payment from Montserrat for use of the Sohier Room. 3) Bookmobile: Patricia Cirone
is still working on plans for the new bookmobile. 4) Regional Library System: Patricia Cirone
explained that the set-up of the regional library systems will be redesigned. 5) Farms Library:
There have been no leaks at the Farms Library. 6) Beverly Reads: Beverly Reads starts January
31. 7) North Shore Career Center: The library is collaborating with the NS Career Center by
offering job searching workshops at the library.
