MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

PRESENT:
Commissioners Barnico, Dettorre, Forgione, Lydon, Mahoney, McEvoy, Nelson, Tosi,
Vitale, and White
ABSENT:
Commissioner Tognazzi

Craig Schuster, Ken Robinson, Jim Baker, Richard Chase, Charlene Chase, Tom Lyons,
Dan Parsons, Bill Kossowan, Chris Negrotti, Bryan Johnson, and Guy Simmons
A. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Vitale called the meeting to order at 7: 00 PM.
1. Reading of the Minutes for July 2009 - Chairman Vitale called for a reading of the
minutes from the July meeting. Commissioner Dettorre made a motion to accept the
minutes, subject to amendment, seconded by Vice Chairman Mahoney. Motion passed
unanimously.
2. Reading of the Financial Report - Commissioner White presented the financial report for
July 2009. Vice Chairman Mahoney made a motion to accept the report, subject to audit,
seconded by Commissioner Lydon. Motion passed unanimously.
3. Chairman's Report - Chairman Vitale reported on the following:
. Updated the status of the Fonzo and Ron Vitale avigation easements
. Requested that the Chairman or Vice Chairman and the Airport Manager be present
at any subcommittee meeting
4. Presentations:
. Jacobs Engineering - Craig Schuster updated the commission on the Taxiway "F"
Reconstruction Project. He said it would be complete in two to three weeks. He also
said the Annual BAC/FAA/MAC C.I.P. meeting would be coming up shortly and the
ALP update final draft would be ready around the end of month.
. Civil Air Patrol- Tom Lyons and Dan Parsons reported on the progress of the
WWII Dance scheduled for September 19, 2009.

B. OLD BUSINESS
1. Subcommittee Reports:
. Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee -Vice Chairman Mahoney reported on the
proposed Angier Ames lease and passed out copies of the lease. MOTION -
Commissioner Nelson made a motion to accept the lease, seconded by Vice
Chairman Mahoney. Motion passed unanimously.
. Noise Abatement Subcommittee - Vice Chairman Mahoney discussed a meeting with
Danvers resident, Bill Cianfrocca regarding a low aircraft.
. Facility Maintenance and Web site Management Subcommittee - Ace and Charlene
Chase will give Ralph Forgione a disc with the Disaster Drill pictures on it for use on
the airport's website.
. Public Relations Subcommittee - Commissioner Nelson will set a date with
Commissioner Tosi to discuss marketing. Commissioner Tosi reported on a meeting
with John Goglia regarding airport marketing.
. Environmental Issues Subcommittee (& NSCC Aviation Program Update) - No
Report
. Airport Safety & Security Subcommittee - No Report
. Operations Coordinator - No Report
C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT:
Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft traffic count, monthly landing fee
collections, one (1) noise complaint, implementation of push button pedestrian gate access,
completion of the RW 16-34 Crack Repair Project, status of the Taxiway "F" Reconstruction
Project (Economic Stimulus Project), ALPU meeting, FAA "No Objections" to Roma Ventures II
and Cape Ann Hangar Associates hangar development, state plans for a Mass Statewide Airport
Plan, Town ofDanvers request letter regarding short approach maneuvers, and airport maintenance.
D. NEW BUSINESS:
E. TENANT COMMENTS:
. Jim Baker talked about advertising signs on parking lot fencing
. Jim Baker said aircraft manufacturer, Terra Fugia, would not be interested in exploring
developable sites for at least another year, but that BVY was on their list.

. Ken Robinson suggested that before the commission entertained thoughts of increasing fuel
flowage fees that they look first at increasing other fees e.g. landing fees, commercial activity
fees, etc.

Motion to adjourn made by Commissioner Dettorre, seconded by Commissioner Barnico. Motion
passed unanimously at 9: 32PM.
