MA 01982 Architect Doug Trees describes the design, showing sample colors (Cape Cod Grey siding and trim with black asphalt shingles on the roof). He shows photos of the wall fixtures and bollards. Newhall states that the bollards selected are not made in the brushed copper finish. Brusca says they can get something similar to the bollards presented in a brushed copper finish. Finch asks if the front panel is all glazed and Trees states that it is. Trees confirms that the dumpster will be concealed and refrigerated. He adds that they will return to the DRB for sign approval. Finch expresses concern about the monochromatic paint scheme and states that the scale of this building is much different than the Newburyport location. He states that they need something on the west elevation to give the building more texture. Trees states that since this is a water site, it will need to be stained on a regular basis; matching wall and trim color will be easier to upkeep. He agrees to place a trellis on the west-facing wall. Newhall states that they can recommend the trellis. She reviews all of the Board's suggestions: . The bollards will be in a style similar to the wall sconces and have a brushed copper finish . The applicant will return to the Board for sign approval . All mechanicals will be concealed . The west elevation will have a trellis or something to break up the solid wall . The Board encourages the use of as much natural vegetation as possible The members agree to send this to the Planning Board with a letter of recommendation containing the above noted points. City Councilor Wes Slate requests a copy of the letter and Newhall agrees to email him a copy.
