A meeting of the Commissioners of Trust Funds for tha City of Beverly was held at
the Beverly National Bank at 8:00 A.M. Attending were Messrs. Safth and Dawson and
Mrs. Remare.
The Annual Report for fiscal year 1990-91 was accepted and signed with an explanation
that the expenses and income earned overlapped on the quarter ending June 30 on both
prior and current years.
Mr. Smith nmde a request that the auditing firm for the City of Beverly, MelarLson,
Greenwood and Company, issue a comment letter regarding the Trust Funds.
A motion was made and seconded to disburse the following funds:
From the Millerr Fund
$1,000.00 to the YMCA for their Day-Care Program
$1,000.00 to Project RAP
$1,000.00 to United Way of Central Northshore
From the Polly Dane Fund
$1,000.00 to Northshore Outreach Ministry for their Friday Night Supper Program.
A request was made to have City Solicitor Thomas Alexander meet with the Commissioners
in January regarding the Open Meeting Law and also to discuss how to give notize that
money is aveliable from the Trust Funds for certain purposes. At that time
Commissioners will discuss guidelines regarding use of the funds.
A letter from School Superintendent, Jean P. Patron, was read requesting $1,200.00
for the purpose of funding a portion of the facilitator for an all day education
summit to be held sometime in March. The money is to come from the Special School
Funds. The request was tabled until a firm date is made for the meeting and as that
time, the money will be disbursed.
The meeting adjourned at 8:45 A.M.
