MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY, JANUARY 12, 2009

PRESENT:
Commissioners Barnico, Forgione, Mahoney, Tosi, Vitale, and White
ABSENT:
Commissioners Dettorre, Lydon, Nelson, and Tognazzi

Ken Robinson, Richard Chase, Charlene Chase, Jim Baker, Bill Kossowan, Gardner

A. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Vitale called the meeting to order at 7: 00 PM.
1. Reading of the Minutes for December 2008 - Chairman Vitale called for a reading of the
minutes from the December meeting. Commissioner White made a motion to accept the
minutes, seconded by Vice Chairman Mahoney. Motion passed unanimously.
2. Reading of the Financial Report - Commissioner White presented the financial report for
December 2008. Vice Chairman Mahoney made a motion to accept the report, subject to
audit, seconded by Commissioner Tosi. Motion passed unanimously.
3. Chairman's Report - Chairman Vitale updated the commission on the following:
. The RW 16 area tree removals are going very well with the exception of the
"Hutchins tree".
. The Kelleher parcel's avigation easement has not been signed or notarized yet by
Kelleher.
. The proposed Cherry Hill Senior Housing Development is again before City Planning
& Zoning. The developer scaled down the proposed development.
. Commissioner Freyer has resigned.
. Commissioner Tosi is now on the Public Relations Subcommittee.
. Informed BAC of Donna Witte's noise abatement instructions, but said we will still
encourage noise abatement from pilots and instructors.

B. OLD BUSINESS
1. Subcommittee Reports:
. Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee -Vice Chairman Mahoney reported on the
status of A B Aviation Building #54 lease.
. Noise Abatement Subcommittee - Vice Chairman Mahoney reported on a December
18t noise complaint and that things were fairly quiet.
. Facility Maintenance and Web site Management Subcommittee - Commissioner
Forgione is still working with Endicott College for inclusion on the airport web site,
he will also check with the Tower Chief, Alan Martin, on an air traffic control tower
link.
. Public Relations Subcommittee - No report
. Environmental Issues Subcommittee (& NSCC Aviation Program Update)-
Commissioner Barnico is awaiting new enrollment numbers from NSCC. He also
mentioned a first flight centennial on 2/1 0/1 0 at Chebacco Lake in Hamilton, MA
. Airport Safety & Security Subcommittee - Officer Chris Negrotti updated the BAC
on past safety meetings and a proposed crash drill in the spring.
C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT:
Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft traffic count, monthly landing fee
collections, one (1) noise complaint, Something Different Restaurant's alcohol waiver, airport
fencing and brush removal, A B Aviation Bldg. #54 lease approval, Tom Ford rent increase,
December snowstorms, snow removal assistance from C.AP., economic stimulus projects, all-
terrain vehicle status, proposed senior housing project, and airport maintenance.
D. NEW BUSINESS:
None
E. COMMISSION COMMENTS:
. Commissioner Barnico is concerned about the proposed senior housing development and
besides noise suppression construction he suggests sprinklers, smoke alarms, and
lightning protection.
F. ADJOURNMENT
Motion to adjourn made by Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner Forgione. Motion
passed unanimously at 9:31PM.
