Joanne Panunzio presided.
Neil Olson made the motion, seconded by Alyse Gause, to accept the minutes of October 28,
2008 as read. Motion passed.
Public Presentation

Committee Reports
Personnel: No report.
Administration: No report.
Finance: Patricia Cirone reviewed FY2009 budget.
Long Range Planning: Patricia Cirone reviewed the proposed FY2010 action plan. New items
added: inventory of the children's room, establishment of a media committee, promotion of
Overdrive; replacement of computers at the Farms Library, replacement of microform machine,
installation of cameras, and exploring the establishment of an enterprise fund.
Anthony Kline made the motion, seconded by Kevin O'Reilly, to:
accept the proposed FY20 1 0 action plan as proposed. Motion passed.
Report of the Library Director
1) Auction: The bookmobile auction raised approximately $10,671. 2) Farms
Landscaping Plan: Hardscape will be installed in the spring. 3) Legislative Breakfast:
NMRLS sponsored legislative breakfast will be held at the Beverly Public Library on
March 6,2009. 4) Delivery: Delivery among Massachusetts libraries may go to an
electronic sorting system. 5) Upcoming Events: Wreath making December 6, Nutcracker
Tea at the Farms December 7, gingerbread house workshop, special holiday performance
and "Lights Out" at the Farms in December, and Beverly's New Years Eve events at the
Main Library December 31

Unfinished Business
1) Todd Balf: Todd Balfwill come to the January board meeting. 2) Varian: Alyse Gause
offered to help Pat Cirone with the Varian grant.
New Business
None
The next regular meeting of the Board will be Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 7:00 PM at
Bella Mia.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8: 15 PM.
