Si2n Approval 1. 283B Cabot Street - Innovations Hair Salon - Lauren Krinsky. 11 Grafton Street. Apt. 1. Salem. MA 01970 The members review the sign design. Proprietor Lauren Krinsky states that the sign will not be lit, and the area around the sign will be painted. Newhall advises Krinsky that the top of the sign must not be higher than 15 feet above the ground, and Krinsky states that it will be lower than that. Bruce suggests that she center the sign over the whole business, and Krinsky agrees. Newhall: Motion to approve the sign design as presented, seconded by McGowan. Passes 3-0. 2. 566 Cabot Street - DiValore Hair Salon & Day Spa - Deborah Gauthier. 566 Cabot Street. Beverly. MA 01915 Proprietor Deborah Gauthier states that this double-sided sign is four square feet and will be supported by only two white posts. Newhall states that the sign was installed and it was bigger than allowed and Gauthier went to the ZBA and was approved for the new, smaller sign being presented tonight. Bruce: Motion to approve the sign design as presented, seconded by McGowan. Passes 3-0. Facade Improvement Pro2ram 3. 110 Cabot Street - CCI - Si2n Review. Facade Review: Doreen and & Alex Ushakoff. 43 Lovett Street. Beverly. MA 01915 Newhall states that the board will examine the signs and the fa<;ade. DRB October 2, 2008 Page 2 of2 Doreen U shakoff states that they are not changing the size of the signs, but they are painting the signs that exist. Bruce states that having all of the signs at the corner with the entrance in another location creates confusion. Alex U shakoff states that this issue has been addressed, by removing the extra signs and the hardware from the door. Bruce states that she would like to have the main door stand out better by using color. She adds that she is happy to see the white color replaced with a stone color, and the removal of the green. She asks about the lighting replacement. Doreen U shakoff states that the tube lighting will be painted. Alex U shakoff states that the old white fixtures will be painted grey. Alex U shakoff states that the green and blue signs will become gray with gold leaf letters. Bruce asks if the corner sign could be smaller to fit into the space. Alex U shakoff states that the sign will not be replaced, but only painted a new color. Newhall: Motion to approve all of the signs and fa<;ade designs as presented, seconded by Bruce. Passes 3-0. Other Business 4. Elliot/Rantoul Intersection Newhall states that the owner of parcels where the CVS and the strip of buildings along the corner of Elliott and Rantoul Streets will redevelop this corner. His attorney, Mark Glovsky, and his team would like to come to the next meeting for an informal discussion of the plans. She adds that Assistant Planning Director Leah Zambernardi has offered to sit in on this discussion. She provides a brief preview of the plans. Approval of Minutes - September 4. 2008 Meetin2 Newhall: Motion to approve the minutes, seconded by McGowan. Passes 4-0. Newhall: Motion to adjourn, seconded by Bruce. Passes 4-0.
