MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
OCTOBER 14, 2008

Commissioners Barnico, Dettorre, Forgione, Freyer, Mahoney, Vitale, and White
ABSENT:
Commissioners Lydon, Nelson, Tognazzi, and Tosi

Craig Schuster, Ken Robinson, Jim Baker, Richard Chase, Bill Kossowan, Don Parsons,
and John Duval
A. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Vitale called the meeting to order at 7: 00 PM.
1. Reading of the Minutes for September 2008 - Chairman Vitale called for a reading of the
minutes from the September meeting. Vice Chairman Mahoney made a motion to accept
the minutes, seconded by Commissioner Barnico. Motion passed unanimously.
2. Reading of the Financial Report - Commissioner White presented the financial report for
September 2008. Commissioner Barnico made a motion to accept the report, subject to
audit, seconded by Commissioner Forgione. Motion passed unanimously.
3. Chairman's Report - Chairman Vitale updated the commission on:
. The Civil Air Patrol WWII dance success
. $2,500 fee to be charged to Collings Foundation
. December 6,2008 RAC. Christmas Dinner
. Jim Baker's proposed use of former NxAero premises
o Motion - Commissioner White made a motion to transfer the terms of the
proposed NxAero lease to A R Aviation, LLC with changes, seconded by
Vice Chairman Mahoney. Motion passed unanimously.
4. Presentations:
. Jacobs, Edwards & Kelcey - Craig Schuster provided an update on the FFY08 ALP
Update and FFY09 RW 16-34 Crack Repair Project.
B. OLD BUSINESS

. Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee -Vice Chairman Mahoney reported no further
action from the proposed airport hay farmer.
. Noise Abatement Subcommittee - Vice Chairman Mahoney updated the commission
on the new noise complaint locator map.
. Facility Maintenance and Web site Management Subcommittee - Commissioner
Forgione reported that Endicott College will get back to him on an Endicott College
web site link.
. Public Relations Subcommittee - No report
. Environmental Issues Subcommittee (& NSCC Aviation Program Update)-
Commissioner Barnico updated the commission on comments from the Planning and
Zoning Board of Appeals regarding the proposed senior housing project on the
corner of Cherry Hill Drive and Conant Street.
. Airport Safety & Security Subcommittee - Commissioner Dettorre reported another
meeting will be put together in November.
C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT - Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft
traffic count, monthly landing fee collections, September noise complaints, Noise Abatement map,
updated airport crash site grid map, deer strike of 9/28/08, status of airport hay farmer, 12' plow
order, 2008 Wings of Freedom Tour, and airport maintenance.
