Joanne Panunzio presided.
Neil Olson made the motion, seconded by Roseann Benson, to accept the minutes of March 25,
2008 as read. Motion passed.
Public Presentation
Patricia Cirone introduced Dennis Geller to the Board.
Committee Reports
Personnel: John Kelley asked board members to return completed director evaluations to him as
soon as possible. Trustees reviewed draft of staff evaluation form.
Administration: No report.
Finance: No report.
Long Range Planning: No report.
Report of the Library Director
1) Budget: Patricia Cirone has not met with the Mayor regarding the budget. 2) Trustees
Appointments: Neil Olsen and Joanne Panunzio have been re-appointed to the Board. 3)
Volunteer Help : Volunteers are needed for the book sale and the May 31 8t bookmobile photo
day fundraiser. 4) Bookmobile: Over $28,000 has been raised so far. The next big fundraising
event, after the May 31 8t fundraiser, will be a silent auction in the fall. 4) Current Budget:
Patricia Cirone reviewed the current budget. Electric line item will run over. 5) BevCam:
BevCam presented the Library with a complete set of Ted Joseph's program Beverly Times Past.
6) Past Events: Friends annual meeting and young adult poetry contest were successful
programs. 7) Upcoming Events: Photo Day on May 31, Big Dig Presentation on May 29. 8)
Custodian: Mike Tracchia, the Farms/evening custodian, officially retired April 11, 2008.
Patricia Cirone will talk to Mike Collins before posting the job. Until the position is filled the
overtime budget will continue to be affected.

New Business
1) Energy Audit: Kevin O'Reilly asked if the Library had ever done an energy audit to see how
"green" it is. Patricia Cirone will talk to Mike Collins about the audit that the electric company
is doing, but it may not be a complete audit.
The next regular meeting of the Board will be Tuesday, May 27,2008 at 7:00 P.M. at the Main
Library.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:45 P.M.
