MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

Commissioners Barnico, Dettorre, Forgione, Freyer, Lydon, Mahoney, Nelson, Vitale,

A. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Vitale called the meeting to order at 7: 00 PM.
1. Reading of the Minutes for April 2008 - Chairman Vitale called for a reading of the
minutes from the April meeting. Commissioner Freyer made a motion to accept the
minutes, seconded by Commissioner Lydon. Motion passed unanimously.
2. Reading of the Financial Report - Commissioner White presented the financial report for
April 2008. Commissioner Nelson made a motion to accept both, subject to audit,
seconded by Commissioner Dettorre. Motion passed unanimously.
3. Chairman's Report - Chairman Vitale updated the commission on the following:
. Rice Rental parcel status
. F onzo and Kelleher parcel status
. Departure of Steve Castle and NxAero, July 11, 2008
. Increased tower count
. Burley Street tree obstructions
4. Presentations:
. Rich Little presented information on the July 12, 2008 Cystic Fibrosis Aviation Day
B. OLD BUSINESS

. Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee -Vice Chairman Mahoney updated the
commission on the North Atlantic Air and Dargao Associates sublease. Vice
Chairman Mahoney then made a motion to accept the sublease, seconded by
Commissioner White. Motion passed unanimously.
Vice Chairman Mahoney also updated the commission on two (2) Airport
PowerPoint presentations.
. Public Relations Subcommittee - No report.
. Facility Maintenance Subcommittee - Commissioner Forgione reported that Endicott
College was added to the airport web site and additional pictures were also added to
the airport web site photo gallery.
. Airport Safety Committee - Commissioner Dettorre reported that no trees were cut
in the Burley Street area since the last meeting.
. Environmental Issues & NSCC Aviation Program - Commissioner Barnico updated
the commission on the North Beverly Environmental Group and the City's deep
water testing. He also discussed the NSCC Aviation Program brochure update.
. Noise Abatement Committee - Vice Chairman Mahoney briefed the commission on
the recent Danvers noise testing and a meeting to be held on 6/3/08 at Danvers Town
Hall to discuss the tests.
C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT - Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft
traffic count, monthly landing fee collections, Civil Air Patrol lease status, changes to the proposed
airport hay farming Letter of Agreement, Disney movie "The Proposal" update, NxAero's departure
in July, Mass Aircraft Tax Exemption status, expected MALS repair in June, FAA Reauthorization
Bill status, old tower residing, taxiway turnoff widening project, airport maintenance, and
anticipated May/June projects.

E. COMMISSION COMMENTS:
. Chairman Barnico and Vice Chairman Mahoney discussed aircraft run-up noise in the
Bradford Street/Burley Street area.
F. ADJOURNMENT
Motion to adjourn made by Commissioner Freyer, seconded by Commissioner Lydon. Motion
passed unanimously at 8 :25PM.
