MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

Commissioners Barnico, Dettorre, Forgione, Lydon, Tosi, Vitale, and White
ABSENT:
Commissioners Freyer, Nelson, and Tognazzi

Dave Graham, Jim Baker, Richard Chase, Charlene Chase, John Duval, Bill
Kassalwan, and Ken Robinson
A. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Vitale called the meeting to order at 7: 00 PM.
1. Reading of the Minutes for February 2008 - Chairman Vitale called for a reading
of the minutes from the February meeting. Commissioner White made a motion to
accept the minutes, seconded by Commissioner Forgione. Motion passed
unanimously.
2. Reading of the Financial Report - Commissioner White presented the financial
report for February 2008 as well as the proposed FY09 airport budget. Vice
Chairman Mahoney made a motion to accept both, subject to audit, seconded by
Commissioner Tosi. Motion passed unanimously.
3. Chairman's Report - Chairman Vitale informed/updated the commission on the
following.
. Read thank you notes received from North Shore Community College Aviation
Science Program for the pilot books, Coldwell Banker for the Airport
PowerPoint Presentation, and Civil Air Patrol
. Proposed noise monitoring at the Bettencourt house
4. Presentations:
. Dave Graham updated the commission on the FY08 ALP Update Project and
the aircraft sales tax exemption that Governor Patrick is proposing to repeal.
B. OLD BUSINESS
1. Subcommittee Reports:
. Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee -Vice Chairman Mahoney updated the
commission on the Civil Air Patrol and NxAero proposed leases and the

Fourth Addendum to the North Atlantic Air lease. Vice Chairman Mahoney
made a motion to accept the latest C.AP. proposed lease, seconded by
Commission Lydon. Motion passed unanimously. Vice Chairman Mahoney
also briefed the commission on the Airport PowerPoint Presentation made to
Coldwell Banker Realty.
. Public Relations Subcommittee - No report
. Facility Maintenance Subcommittee - Commissioner Forgione and Lydon
reported on the results (excellent) of their February 27,2008 facilities'
maintenance inspection.
. Off-Airport Obstructions - Commissioner Dettorre reported that some right-
of-way trees were trimmed along Burley Street. Commission Dettorre also said
we were down to the last two neighbors we need permission from to remove
trees.
. Environmental Issues & NSCC Aviation Program - Commissioner Barnico
updated the commission on the status of the City's deep well remediation
project in back of Hangar #47 (old Hangar #1).
. Special Projects - No report
. Airport Safety & Security Coordinator - John Duval presented his report as
well as the results of his testimony in Washington, D. C. regarding national
runway safety.
C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT
Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft traffic count, monthly landing fee
collections, NxAero commercial general liability insurance amount, Civil Air Patrol lease,
proposed airport hay farming, taxiway fillets, updated BVY airport diagram, the Disney
movie, "The Proposal", update, one (1) noise complaint, proposed control tower security
fencing, jet aircraft emergency landing, and airport maintenance.

Motion to adjourn made by Commissioner Dettorre, seconded by Commissioner Lydon.
Motion passed unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 9:06.
