MINUTES OF MEETING
May 15, 2003
1. Discussion of access at Cabot Cinema. Elise will
survey restrooms to see if they are now accessible.
2. Norm reported on the Accessible Trail. Now have the
specs and ADAAG regulations for accessibility in
natural areas. Will contact Wenham Conservation
Commission due to the location of the Phillips Estate
in that town. To meet with the Beverly Engineering
Department to determine feasibility of the project.
3. Discussion of re-surveying of all parking lots, public
& private.
4. Discussion on accessibility of Beverly businesses.
Ninety-six retail businesses have been found to be
inaccessible. Elise and Kathy will compose draft letter
to these businesses to inform them of the tax benefits
for becoming compliant. Art will schedule meetings
with Beverly Main Streets and the Chamber of
Commerce to explain these issues.
