MINUTES OF MEETING
September 18, 2003
1. City Council approved expenditure of $9,900.00 for
salary of ADA Coordinator. City Council approved
$7,500.00 for curb cut work on Rantoul Street. Above
money to come from Handicap Parking Fine account.
2. Dunkin Donuts at Cabot Plaza parking lot has been
brought into compliance with AAB regulations.
3. ADA Coordinator reported on progress at Senior
Center parking lot on Colon Street. He informed
Commission that dialysis patient parking area at
Beverly Hospital has been closed and patients are now
using handicap spaces. Commission to meet with
hospital manager to improve this problem. Also a
continuing problem with handicap parking at entrance
of Emergency Room.
4. Joan Rogers may have to resign from the Commission
due to inability to drive after dark. Suggestion made to
schedule every other meeting at 8:00 a.m. Norm will
check with Joan to see if this will work for her.
5. Suggested replacements on Commission for Kathy
Tracy: Mrs. Tate and Kim Wilkins.
