MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

Commissioners Barnico, Forgione, Freyer, Lydon, Mahoney, Nelson, Vitale, and

Dave Graham, Craig Schuster, Jim Baker, Tony Bettencourt, Steve Castle,
Richard Chase, Frank Elliott, and John Duval
A. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Vitale called the meeting to order at 7: 00 PM.
1. Reading of the Minutes for August 2007 - Chairman Vitale called for a reading of
the minutes from the August meeting. Commissioner Lydon made a motion to
accept the minutes, seconded by Vice Chairman Mahoney. Motion passed
unanimously.
2. Reading of the Financial Report - Chairman Vitale called for a reading of the
financial report. Commissioner White presented the financial report for August
2007. Commissioner Freyer made a motion to accept the financial report subject to
audit, seconded by Commissioner Lydon. Motion passed unanimously.
3. Chairman's Report -
. Chairman Vitale told the commission that the East Ramp C.I.P. reconstruction
project has been tabled until further notice
. Chairman Vitale talked about a visit to the Sanford, ME airport
4. Presentations:
. Jacobs, Edwards, & Kelcey, Inc. - Dave Graham and Craig Schuster updated
the commission on the RW 9/27 project and the upcoming airport 5-year C.I.P.
program update.
B. OLD BUSINESS
1. Subcommittee Reports:
. Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee - Vice Chairman Mahoney updated the
commission on the proposed Civil Air Patrol and NxAero leases and the

Airport PowerPoint presentations to Claire Corporation and the Beverly City
Council.
. Public Relations Subcommittee - Commissioners Nelson and Freyer reported
the RW 9/27 ribbon-cutting ceremony has been postponed. Brochures for
BVY were discussed. A figure of$5,000 was recommended and some
marketing ideas were suggested.
. Facility Maintenance Subcommittee - Commissioners Lydon and Forgione
reported that additional floodlights will be installed on the AdminlMaint
building, Verizon will be trimming brush from some airport electrical poles, the
proposed airport road name change will have its first City Council reading on
9/17/07, and the BAC Christmas dinner will be on December 1, 2007 at the
Danversport Yacht Club.
. Hangar Development/Off-Airport Obstructions - No report
. Environmental Issues & NSCC Aviation Program - Commissioner Barnico
reported that the NSCC Aviation Program has 23 students, up from 15.
. Special Projects - No report
. Airport Safety & Security Coordination - John Duval submitted his report for
August 2007.
C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT
Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft traffic count, monthly landing fee
collections, RW 9/27 Reconstruction Project, Ron Vitale building development, Hangar #5
erection, new Tower Chief, airport web site corrections, airport insurance, an aircraft incident,
Collings Foundation, and airport maintenance.

Motion to adjourn made at 8:40 by Commissioner Lydon, seconded by Commissioner
White. Motion passed unanimously.
