2001-05-14 BEVERLY AIRPORT COMMISSION MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING MAY 14, 2001 PRESENT: Commissioners Barnico, Duval, Eaton, Farmer, Gourdeau, Lydon, Mahoney, Nelson, Vitale, and White ABSENT: Commissioner Rosen PUBLIC: Tina Cassidy, Steve Lebel, Ken Lewis, Gerry Nelson, Ken Robinson, Peter Simpson, Gardner Trask, Dave Graham, and Richard Mello A. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Farmer called the meeting to order at 7:37PM. 1. Presentation: · Edwards & Kelcey Update – Dave Graham updated the Commission on the FY01 ENF Scoping for RSAs and Wetland Revalidation. 2. Reading of the Minutes for April 2001 – Chairman Farmer called for a reading of the minutes from the April meeting. Commissioner Lydon commented that his name was missing from the “Present” list. Commissioner Lydon made a motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Commissioner Gourdeau. Motion passed unanimously. 3. Reading of the Financial Report – Chairman Farmer called for a reading of the financial report. Commissioner White gave the financial report for April 2001. Commissioner Mahoney made a motion to accept the financial report subject to audit, seconded by Commissioner Gourdeau. Motion passed unanimously. B. OLD BUSINESS: · Beverly Aviation Day Update – Vice Chairman Vitale update the Commission on the latest preparations. C. NEW BUSINESS: · Annual Airport Inspections – Airport Manager Mezzetti informed the Commission that beginning this summer there will be annual fire and housekeeping inspections of FBO areas. Also to be inspected are FBO insurance certificates, hazmat storage, and other applicable lease items. BEVERLY AIRPORT COMMISSION MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING MAY 14, 2001 D. AIRPORT MANAGER’S REPORT: Airport Manager Mezzetti updated the Commission on the NEESCOM site release from FAA, FAA and M.A.C. changes to the ALP, the airport’s Wenham tax abatement request, the airport website, Tom Ford and the Gurnard site, and the upcoming Senior Open Golf Tournament. F. CHAIRMAN/COMMISSION COMMENTS: · Chairman Farmer updated the Commission on the G.A.S. and Coastal Pool outside cleanup. · Commissioner Eaton updated the Commission on Richard Mello’s drainage problem. · Vice Chairman Vitale thanked Peter Simpson and Jeff Lurie for their help for Aviation Day. G. ADJOURNMENT: Motion to adjourn made by Commissioner Gourdeau, seconded by Commissioner Duval. Motion passed unanimously.
