Alyse Gause presided.
Alyse Gause requested that trustees turn in any completed city councilor interviews. Copies of
the 10/24/2006 draft survey, the 1996 survey, and the Northampton community survey were
distributed. Alyse Gause reviewed the long range planning timetable.
Alyse Gause shared the notes that Laura Davis took when she attended a workshop on
conducting a long-range planning community survey at the Massachusetts Library Trustees
Association conference on November 4, 2006.
Patricia Cirone reviewed the FY2008 Action Plan. The trustees would like to include the need for
building maintenance in the action plan. The trustees would like to have the Sunday hours
objective and activity to follow immediately after the bookmobile objective and activity. Alyse
Gause made the motion, seconded by Joanne Panunzio, to:
approve the FY2008 Action Plan, as amended. Motion passed.
The Long Range Planning Committee will meet on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 7:00 P.M.
Alyse Gause suggested that the trustees review distributed materials and be prepared to work on
the community survey.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:25 P.M.
