LYNCH PARK ADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES FOR APRIL 20, 2006
In attendance were Tom Clark, Nancy Clark, Bruce Doig,
Ginny Currier and Rich Benevento.
Bruce reported that the construction work on the carriage
house was almost complete. While work around the skylight
was not quite finished, the second story window and door
above the side entrance way had been boarded up and that
segment of wall shingled over.
The committee discussed the possibility of having either
Cecil Group or CDM, both of whom had been interviewed in
2002 prior to the selection of Tappe to do the Master Plan,
evaluate further work at the park with the idea that if
they can find the funding for any aspect of it, including
moving the parking lot, they can have the job. Rich said
that he would broach the subject with them since his job
brings him in contact with them.
Plans for David S. Lynch Day on Sunday, July 16, are moving
ahead. Liz Caputo has taken charge again of the Ice Cream
Social and has already contacted Dick and June’s.
Rich offered to take on the organization of the Best of
Beverly Pizza competition. To provide incentives, he
suggested that the winner get a free ad in the Recreation
Department’s fall program guide, which reaches 19,000
households, with a coupon; also, the winner could be
presented with a plaque at a City Council meeting, covered
by cable.
