Joanne Panunzio presided.
Anthony Kline made the motion, seconded by Kevin O’Reilly, to accept the minutes of the Long
Range Planning Committee of September 26, 2006 as read. Motion passed.
Neil Olson made the motion, seconded by Alyse Gause, to accept the minutes of September 26,
2006 as read. Motion passed.

Personnel: No report.
Administration: No report.
Finance: No report.
Long Range Planning: Alyse Gause reported that the long range planning committee met on
Tuesday, October 24 to identify questions for the community survey.
Report of the Library Director
1) Budget: Pat Cirone distributed copies of current library budget. There are no big changes
since last month. 2) State reports: Pat Cirone distributed copies of financial and compliance
reports for the state. The library met the standards for projected municipal budget, hours open,
and percentage spent on library materials. 3) Trust Funds: Pat Cirone will make a report on trust
funds at the next meeting. 4) Skylight: Estimate received for $17,000 to repair the skylight. There
is a possibility that Public Services can fix it for less. If it cannot be fixed this year it will be
shrink wrapped for the winter. 5) Farms Fan Window: Vine Street door is still locked until
problem with fan window can be fixed. 6) Upcoming Events: book sales, poetry reading, author
visit, and genealogy lecture. 7) New Librarians: New reference librarian has been hired. New
assistant adult services librarian will start November 1.

1) Lou Jones: Alyse Gause suggested that Lou Jones, a photographer, would be a good speaker to
invite to the Library.
