Todd Balf presided.
Kevin O’Reilly made the motion, seconded by John Kelley, to accept the minutes of March 28,
2006 as read. Motion passed.

Committee Reports
Personnel: No report.
Administration: No report.
Finance: Kathleen McMahon reported on the April 19, 2006 finance committee meeting.
Long Range Planning: No report.
Report of the Library Director

1) Reception: Reception for Pat Cirone will be May 23 instead of May 9. 2) HVAC survey: Pat
Cirone has been in touch with company scheduled to conduct an HVAC survey for the Main
Library. 3) Masonry: Pat Cirone has been in touch with Mike Collins of DPW and Ray Bouchard
to get someone to look at the masonry in connection with a leak over the fiction area on the third
floor. 4) Book Sale: Book sale starts April 29. 5) BevCam: Patricia Cirone will be interviewed
for BevCam. 6) Young Adult Librarian: Young adult librarian has officially given notice and
position has been advertised. 7) FY2007 Budget: Pat Cirone reviewed different versions of the
library’s proposed FY2007 budget. She would like to submit a budget that includes a 3.98%
increase. Pat Cirone will meet next week with the Mayor and the Finance Director to discuss the
FY2007 budget.

1) Alyse Gause congratulated Todd Balf on the publication of his new book.
