A. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Vitale called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
1. Reading of the Minutes for March 2006 – Chairman Vitale called for a
reading of the minutes from the March meeting. Vice Chairman Mahoney
made a motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Commissioner Dettorre.
Motion passed unanimously.
2. Reading of the Financial Report – No report
3. Chairman’s Report –
Chairman Vitale updated and informed the commission on BVY airport
noise pamphlets, a meeting held with Representative Mary Grant and
KBVY Pilot Group spokesperson, Ray Igou.
4. Presentations:
??Edwards & Kelcey Update – Craig Schuster updated the
commission on the airport’s capital projects.
B. OLD BUSINESS
Subcommittee Reports:
??
Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee – Commissioner Mahoney updated
the commission on the West Side infield line-of-sight issue, a presentation
by Richard Balierini on Hangar #4, and a proposed meeting with Linear Air
regarding interest with BVY for unscheduled air taxi operation.

Public Relations Subcommittee – Commissioner Trask informed the BAC
about an airport promotion meeting held at the North Atlantic Air-East
Side hangar. Commissioner Trask also discussed user meetings, doing a
local radio segment about the airport, and conducting an informational
meeting with the public regarding the RW 34 Extension Project impact.

Facility Maintenance Subcommittee – No report

Hangar Development Subcommittee – Commissioner Dettorre updated the
commission on the WAAS approach status.
C. AIRPORT MANAGER’S REPORT
Airport Manager Mezzetti updated the commission on the traffic count, landing
fee revenue, FAA “Position and Hold” change, RW 34 off-airport tree
obstructions, noise abatement pamphlets, MAMA “On the Hill Day”, ATC line-of
sight and proposed T-hangars, noise complaints, repairs to the Barracks Building,
airport maintenance, Hangar #4 presentation, RW 16 off-airport tree obstructions,
and T Ford Mini Storage development.
D. NEW BUSINESS
Award of RW 34 Extension Project Bid – Commissioner Duval made a motion to
award the RW 34 Extension Project bid to the low bidder, Lawrence Lynch
Company, for $2,751,244.75. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Dettorre.
Motion passed unanimously.
E. COMMISSION COMMENTS
1. Commissioner Barnico updated the commission on the Cailin Road proposed
development and Kelleher Construction’s soil dumping off of Sam Fonzo
Road.
2. Commissioner Trask suggested placing a temporary fence in front of the spot
where the soil has been dumped.
3. Commissioner Trask updated the commission on the proposed public meeting
regarding RW 34 and RW 9-27 projects.
F. PUBLIC COMMENTS
1. Ken Robinson and Jim Baker updated the commission on Hangars #1, #2, and
#3 repairs.

2. Ken Robinson recommended several old telephone poles beside the East Side
parking lot be removed.
3. Rich Mello complained of unauthorized tree removal on his property during
the 1998 VMP project.
4. Diane Katz registered a noise complaint.
5. Danvers Selectman Stan Svenson asked for an update regarding what’s been
done on his and Selectman Randall Sparkas’ BVY noise abatement
recommendations.
6. Tony Bettencourt talked about his problems with aircraft overflights over
Thorpe Circle, Danvers.
G. ADJOURNMENT
Motion to adjourn made by Commissioner Barnico, seconded by Commissioner
Lydon. Motion passed unanimously.
