MINUTES
July 16, 1991
The meeting was called to order at 7:48 pm by Chairman John Coogan.
PRESENT: John Coogan, John Quinn, Neil Olson.
Also present, Nancy Bender, Library Trustee, Thomas
Scully, Library Director. ,
MOTION: by John Quinn, Seconded by Neil Olson to approve the
minutes of the previous meeting. VOTED UNANIMOUSLY.
OLD BUSINESS:
Tom Scully reported that the Aldermen I s Commi ttee on
Legal Affairs met with attorney Alan Forrstrom, Trustees for the
estate of Mary Dalton, and made a new offer for the property at 19
Dane Street. We are waiting for his response.
NEW BUSINESS:
There was discussion relative to advertising and hiring
a clerk of the works. It was decided to place ads in the Boston
Sunday Globe, Beverly Times, Salem News and Bay State Banner.
Resumes would be received up until August 5, 1991 if the Globe ad
runs on July 21 or up until August 12, 1991 if the Globe ad runs on
July 28. Some engineering or archi tectural background would be
desirable. Tom Scully will get a copy of the ad for the Senior
Center Clerk of the Works.
MOTION: by John Quinn, Seconded by Neil Olson to advertise for the
Clerk of the Works. VOTED UNANIMOUSLY.
MOTION: by Neil Olson to adjourn. VOTED UNANIMOUSLY.
