1774-03-14 Beverly Town Meeting March 14th 1774 Votes, Acts and Orders of the Inhabitants, Selectmen. Viz. To the Inhabitants of the Town of Beverly in Town meeting assembled. Gentlemen - Wareas we the Subscribers ware appointed a Committee to Examine and make Inquiry into the Towns Interest in the Flats, Ground and Landings in said in said Town and make Report have in observance of the Trust in us Reposed Proceeded in that affair accordingly and report as followeth (Viz. ) 1. By that there is a Town Landing at Brackenberry so called layed out on the 14th day of the 9th month, 1692 in the Second Book of records of the Town will more fully appear. 2. By That there is a Town Landing at Tucks Point so called as appears in the 314th page of the third Book of Records. - 3. By That there is a Town Landing at Jonathan Woodberry's Cove so called as appears in the 316th page of the Third Book of Records of this town. 4 By That there is a town landing at Drapers Point so called as it appears to be settled in the 122 page ofthe forth Book\ of Records. 5 By that there is a town landing at ???? fish Brook so called as appears by a copy of it Recorded in the fifth Book of Records in page 405. 6. By we find that there is a landing for the ferry place the Easterly Boundaries are near the Easterly Part of Richard Ellices Garden as by the return of a ???? appointed by the Court of the General Sessions of the Peace to layout a highway leading to the Ferry. Returned and accepted by said Court at their Session held at Salem by adjournment January the 5th 16~8/9 as by coppy hereof presented may more fully appear. Beverly, Mar. 14th 1774. Caleb Dodge Benj.
