1987-07-20 32 esse.x 5 fee . 617 922 - 0310 (C n!~~er6f LONG RANGE PLANNING COMMITTEE - Minutes July 20, 1987- PRESENT: Nancy Bender, Susan Salt, Frances McCarthy ABSENT: Kevin Murphy, Kay Fanning Nancy Bender called the meeting to order at 7:35. Susan reported that she had spoken to David Vagos, President of the Board of Aldermen relative to communicating library needs to the Board of Aldermen. Mr. Vagos suggested that the Aldermen be invited to a joint meeting with the Library Trustees to discuss the library's long range plans. It was agreed to send a letter to the Board of Aldermen and the Library Building Commissioners inviting them to the Long Range Planning Committee on Tuesday August 4. Discussion followed on the procedures that will be used for developing a long range capital improvements program. Tom Scully presented a draft of a worksheet format and it was agreed that he develope worksheets for the project agreed upon and rank them in priority order for the next meeting. All of the projects proposed would be exclusive of the plan to renovate the main library, and would assume that that project wil) go forward.
