WAR MEMORIAL ADVISORY MINUTES OF MEETING FEB 1.
The meeting was called to order by Jake Petronzio, and all members were present.
Discussion on plaques for the Bell Tower, Jake will follow up and have information for
us at the next meeting on costs.
Discussed the walk way and handicap accessibility, we are hoping that the Public Works
Department is going to work on this before Memorial Day.
Also the moving of the cannons will follow after the walk way is fixed.
We discussed will we be funded again in this upcoming budget, I told him I would bring
this up with the Mayor to get his opinion.
There are still street signs that have either broken, knocked down by accidents that are
memorials that have not been replaced yet, we spoke with Mick Collins and have not
heard back as of yet. One is Lantz Square.
Also as a side note, the Beverly Vietnam Veterans Post #1 are working with the Beverly
Hospital on the new memorial that is at the circle in front of the Parkhurst Building.
