2005-09-15 COMMISSION ON DISABILITIES Beverly City Hall 191 Cabot Street Beverly, MA 01915 MINUTES OF MEETING September 15, 2005 Members Present: Norm Ganley, Co-Chairman; Eileen Twiss; Kevin Gallant, Co- Chairman; Candace Pike; Elise Bernstein; Karen Bloodgood and John Vickery Members Absent: Bob Nelson Guest(s): Art Daignault, ADA Coordinator Meeting called to order at 7:15 p.m. ?? Karen Bloodgood was confirmed as the new member of the Beverly Commission on Disabilities. ?? MBTA mini-high at Beverly Depot “T” Station has been repaired satisfactorily. North Beverly “T” Station needs more work. The MBTA has been notified. Montserrat “T” Station is a work in progress. ?? The North Shore Music Theatre has not submitted plans for remodeling to the ADA Coordinator or the Massachusetts Office on Disability (MOD). Art will contact the architect as well as MOD. ?? Stop & Shop on Elliott Street is still not complying with the handicap checkouts. Art & Candace are still investigating. ?? Al Rocco of S.R. Weiner, owner of North Beverly Plaza, & Art Daignault continue to work on a plan for a ramp for the new CVS. ?? Members are encouraged to submit ideas for access improvements in the City for the next meeting. ??
