I am convinced that the office will function quite well despite the staff reduction and I believe that it is important to make budgetary adjustments wherever they can be made without affecting the quality of the service that is provided. Given the reduction to staff it becomes even more critical that I be able to allocate my resources in the most effective and efficient manner. A major part of the\is allocation of resources is the determination of who will cover City Council and 44 committee meetings. In the event that you or other council members would like one or the other of us to be present for a particular meeting then that request should be communicated to me.
