The application was submitted to the Department of Environmental Protection earlier this week. The application requests funding for several things: Funding for the recycling calendar distributed to Beverly households annually ?? Wheeled recycling carts, home composting bins, rain barrels and water conservation tool kits ?? Healthy Lawn and Landscape workshops for residents ?? An vehicle idling reduction campaign tool kit ?? A school recycling assistance program kit ?? Pay as you throw assistance, in case the City elects to implement a pay as you throw program during fiscal ?? year 2006. The grant would give the City approximately $55,000 (or $10 per household) that could be used to fund start-up costs associated with a new PAYT program Please feel free to call me if you have any questions on the application or would like additional information.
