MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
AUGUST 8, 2005

PRESENT: Commissioners Barnico, Duval, Dettorre, Mahoney, Nelson, Simpson,
Trask, Vitale, and White
ABSENT: Commissioners Lydon and Tognazzi
PUBLIC: Ken Robinson, Jim Baker, Steve Castle, and Arthur Allen
A. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman White called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
1. Presentations:
??
Proposed Hangars – Jim Baker updated the commission on his
proposed hangar development.
Motion by Commissioner Trask to ask E&K to analyze the full
development potential of the future expanded triangle area,
seconded by Vice Chairman Barnico. Yea-8, Nay-1.
2. Reading of the Minutes for July 2005 – Chairman White called for a
reading of the minutes from the July meeting. Commissioner Mahoney
made a motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Vice Chairman Barnico.
Motion passed unanimously.
3. Reading of the Financial Report – Chairman White presented the financial
report for July 2005. Commissioner Trask made a motion to accept the
financial report subject to audit, seconded by Commissioner Dettorre.
Motion passed unanimously.
B. OLD BUSINESS:
1. Subcommittee Reports:

Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee – Commissioner Mahoney
updated the commission on the proposed Angier Ames hangar
development.

Public Relations Subcommittee – Commissioner Simpson updated
the commission on the RW16 tree obstruction analysis.

Facility Maintenance Subcommittee – Commissioner Trask made a
motion that a fine be imposed if a facility inspection is cancelled
with less than 24-hour notice. Fines would be $50 for the first time
and $100 for a second time.
2. L. P. Henderson Road Name Change – Commissioner Simpson made a
motion to rename L. P. Henderson Road “Airport Road East” and to name
the airport’s West Side access road “Airport Road West” and to give thirty
(30) days notice to tenants prior to the name change. Motion was seconded
by Commissioner Vitale. Motion passed unanimously.
C. NEW BUSINESS:
None
D. AIRPORT MANAGER’S REPORT:
Airport Manager Mezzetti updated the commission on the traffic count, landing
fees, airport maintenance, and airport inspections. Regarding the PAPI’s; a
concentrated effort will be applied to prioritize PAPI’s for BVY. Efforts will be
directed towards FAA and local/state politicians to get at least one set of PAPI’s
at BVY in FFY07.
