Beverly, MA 01915
Dear Mrs. Macdonald:
I hereby veto Beverly City Council Order #89 (Fencing at Pershing Avenue) dated
April 16.
The City has already made many accommodations in this situation and I do not
believe this is needed. Also, funding is not available and by passing this Order it sets
a bad precedent since the City of Beverly is not in a position to be able to
accommodate other citizens who may also wish to have bushes planted.
Very truly yours
Mayor Thomas Crean

Dear Mrs. Macdonald:
I hereby veto Beverly City Council Order #116 (Transfer to Acct. Planning Dept.
Salaries-Staff Planner) dated April 16, 2002
I veto this order in the hope that you will reconsider your decision. It is a very
important position especially with our new Master Plan. We need to have the people
in place as soon as possible to make the Master Plan effective instead of ineffective.
This position will make the Planning Department more proactive instead of reactive.
Therefore, I hereby request that your Honorable Council reconsider funding this
position.
Very truly yours,
Thomas M. Crean, Mayor
