Lindsay Diehl presided.
Neil Olson made the motion, seconded by Kathleen McMahon, to accept the minutes of February
22, 2005 as read. Motion passed.
Public Presentation
None
Committee Reports
Personnel: A reminder to send evaluations to Joanne Panunzio.
Administration: No report.
Finance: Kathleen McMahon presented the FY 2006 budget as approved by the Finance
Committee. This included an increase in the repairs budget to $30,000. Kathleen made the
motion, seconded by Neil Olson, to:
accept the FY2006 budget of $1,478,886 as presented. Motion passed.
Tom Scully reviewed current budget.
Long Range Planning: No report.
Report of the Library Director
1) Farms Library: Shipment of furniture was received March 22. Still waiting for several items:
restored chandeliers, side walk, wrought iron gate, outside lighting, and landscaping. Outside
work is waiting for Louisa Conrad’s bequest. 2) Beverly Public Schools: There was a meeting
with the Briscoe/Memorial librarian and a Beverly public schools reading consultant/teacher to
discuss the summer reading program. Tom Scully will ask the Rotary Club to donate $1,000 to
replace some of the titles on the middle school summer reading list.
Communications
Thank you received from the Veterans Post in the Farms for storing and displaying the World
War I memorial plaque at the Farms Library.
Unfinished Business

1) 150 Anniversary: Anna reported that Lindsay Diehl and Laura Davis will coordinate the 150
anniversary celebrations.
New Business
1) Sunshine Fund: Trustees need to make their yearly $20 contribution to the sunshine fund.
Books will be bought in memory of Kay Fanning and Lorrie Manning. 2) Friends Annual
Meeting: Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 7:30 P.M. 3) Ed Brindle: Neil Olson and Tom Scully will
visit Ed Brindle to give him the painting of the Library. Anna will ask John Young to go with
them. 4) Suzanne Nichelson: John Young will be asked to write a letter congratulating Suzanne
on her 30 years of service.
The next regular meeting of the Board will be Thursday, April 14, 2005 at 7:00 P.M. at the Main
Library.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:10 P.M.
