FRIENDS OF THE BEVERLY COUNCIL ON AGING
March 15, 2005 MEETING MINUTES
Attendees: Derick Willson, Joe Dettorre, Bette MacNeill, Dot List, Norm Durkee, Bob Marshall,
Peter Nuccio, Jennie Napolitano
Derick called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m.
1.
Secretary’s Report- Minutes from the February, 2005 approved.
2.
Treasurer’s Report-CD $21,020.43, Building $29,051.48, Friends $18,415.71. Joe requested
that the balance of the Building Fund be put into a CD. The group agreed since any grave
emergency could probably be covered between the Friends and the Beano accounts.
3.
Beano Report- Account balance $21,334.21. Bob and peter discussed the introduction of
using a paper and marker system. With this system Beano keeps 5% from the first and last
game to pay for the cards. The pros and cons of this system were discussed. Starting in
June we will have the only Beano in the community.

BCOA Director’s Report-Due to a previous commitment no report.

Old Business-
A. 2005 Condo Raffle. Condo has been listed with the Association. We will be contacted if
they rent it. Money is in the process of being refunded.
B. Membership recruitment-On hold

New Business-Members welcomed Jennie back and expressed their condolences.
7. Announcements-None.
Having no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:50 p.m.
