MEMBERS PRESENT: David Gardner (Chair), Robert Buchsbaum (Vice Chair), Anthony
Paluzzi, James MacNeil, Paul Knight, Elizabeth Dunne, Kathy
Skrabut, Bill Squibb, Pam Kampersal
MEMBERS ABSENT: Ellen Flannery
OTHERS PRESENT: Amy Maxner
Chairman Gardner calls the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
Discussion ensues regarding members’ ideas and suggestions for Earth Day activities and
possible participants. The following suggestions were discussed by members:
Ø Radio Publicity
Ø Use the Common as a site
Ø Salem Sound
Ø Curious Creatures
Ø Asking school groups and teachers to participate
Ø Aquarium Connection
Ø Tree Giveaway
Ø Trail Clean Up Day (maybe a two day event)
Ø Poster Contest
Ø Recycling display and demonstration; Compost and/or water barrels
Ø Tony Toledo
Ø Ask Trustees, Greenbelt and Beverly Land Trust to participate
It was agreed that these ideas will be further discussed at the next meeting and other ideas will be
provided at that time.
Gardner asks if there is any other business members would like to discuss. No other business is
brought forward.
MacNeil motions to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Skrabut. All members in favor. Motion
carries 9-0.
Meeting is adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
