At a general town meeting the 30: of March 1680 Samuel Corning jun. and Henry Herrick
were chosen constables for the year ensuing.

At a general town meeting the 30 of March 1680 it was agreed and voted that henceforth
on the second Tuesday in March there shall be a general town meeting yearly for choosing of
constables and such other business as shall then fall in the meeting to begin at ten of the clock and the
appointment for choosing constables on the last Tuesday of march is hereby repealed.

At the same meeting March the 30 1680 there was granted to Humphrey Horrell 2 acres out
of ye Common and for to make use of for him and his life and his wife’s life and after they are
deceased ye land is to return to ye town.

At a general town meeting legally warned on the 30 of March 1680 it was voted that the
Lieut. Thorndike & Corporal William Raymond should manage and carry on the work controverted
betwixt Wenham & Beverly in reference to the bounds of our towns & also Lieutenant Horeck &
William Raymond were chosen to manage ye case dependent betwixt Md. Chever and ye town of
Beverly at a general court held at Boston.
At a general town meeting ye 30 of March 1680 it was voted that all ye highways that were
laid out necessary for ye town shall be paid for in Common lands.
At a general town meeting ye 30 of March 1680 there was given by town vote to Nehemiah
Grover a parcel of land lying agining to Roger Haskell’s land upon ye north of and also agining to
Nehemiah Grover’s land upon ye southeast which parcel of land is judged to be 2 acres or there
about.

At a meeting of ye selectmen 30 March 1680 John Sallows and Mark Haskell were chosen
for surveyors for the fences for this present year and it is further ordered ye general fences with our
town shall be sufficiently made up by ye tenth of April next ensuing.
