1682-03-14[Town Meeting March 14, 1682] At a general town meeting March 14, 1682 Joseph Dodge was chosen constable for the year ensuing Jonathan Boyles likewise chosen constable at the same town meeting of March 14, 1682. At the same town meeting March 14, 1682 it was voted that the selectmen shall have power and they are hereby empowered either to sell or let the town’s swamp at the outlet that was formerly let to John Sampson as they shall have opportunity that may be for the town’s behoof not to exceed seven years in case of letting it out.
